A supermoon happens when a full moon comes closest to the Earth’s orbit making it appear larger and brighter. There will be 2 full moons in August this year. This one is the Sturgeon Moon because this is when the sturgeon fish begins its spawning season. The 2nd full moon of August will be a Blue Moon.
