No one seems to know why John Deere tractors are green. Some say they just continued to use the color used by the Waterloo Engine Company after they bought it out in 1918. Other tractor companies at the time were using red or blue so the green stood out and they decided to keep using it. It is also a color that stands for agriculture. Joe Diffie recorded a song called “John Deere Green” in 1993.
These John Deere tractors were on display at the Baldwin County Fair in Robertsdale.
