A Rare Bird Alert appeared in my Birding App to say a Vermilion Flycatcher was just a few miles down the road from my house. I decided to drive over and see if I could find it. My first drive through was unsuccessful, but the 2nd time I spotted the bright red bird sitting on a fence. Beside it was the gray bird. I looked it up and consulted some other birders to find out it is the female.
