Today was a day for birding the Eastern Shore and looking for less common or rare birds. Starting at Saint Michael School for the Vermilion Flycatcher, I then drove to Daphne Bayfront Park to see the Blue-headed Vireo and Cedar Waxwings. I saw the Juvenile Little Blue Heron which is almost completely white at Meaher State Park. On my way home, I stopped at Alligator Alley and found some Eurasian Collared Doves. My last stop was a return to the school, but I did not spot the flycatchers on this trip. 24 species is a pretty good day of birding.
