This may not be an Alabama Leather Flower because I found it in Meaher State Park. If not, it looks a lot like one. The Alabama Leather Flower is endangered and said to be found only in 3 north eastern counties in Alabama and north western counties in Georgia. http://floraofalabama.org/Plant.aspx?id=3036
