Purple Gallinule

I always hope to spot a Purple Gallinule when I go to Meaher State Park, but it doesn’t usually happen. I got lucky on this visit and noticed a movement in the grassy area. Once I saw the purple feathers, I knew I needed to start taking photos. The bill is very distinctive with the blue, red, and yellow bands.
