If the weather had cooperated, I would be sharing photos of the site of the remains of Clotilda, the last slave ship. I took a tour with Historic Blakeley on the Delta Explorer, but we had to stay in the Port of Mobile area because of a storm to the west and north. Even though I saw most of these sights on my previous tour, I still enjoyed seeing the SS United States again. We had tour guides from Africatown on board and they gave us a very interesting historical talk on the last voyage of Clotilda and the people who survived to play an important role in Mobile.
