National Cat Day was created to make people aware of the number of cats that need to be rescued. Both of my cats were rescue cats. Oscar started showing up in my yard after Hurricane Sally destroyed his home and his owners moved away. I found LuLu Kitty abandoned in Oscar Johnson Park during one of my walks. They co-exist in my house and always give me a reason to smile.
