The Northern Cardinal is the perfect bird for Valentine’s Day because of their beautiful red coloring. It is easy to find the males in my back yard, but if I look more carefully, I can spot a female close by. They usually come to my feeders in pairs. Also, most cardinals mate for life so that adds to their romantic image.
