It is hard to see how this woodpecker got its name: Red-bellied Woodpecker. You hardly ever see its belly. You have to see it from just the right spot to notice the pale red belly. It is a fun bird to watch at the feeder because it will chase off the other birds, and then only stay a few seconds to pick up a sunflower seed and fly off to a tree.
